TEA BY HARVESTING
Darjeeling First Flush Tea
During the first harvest season of the tea plant, the newly developed leaves are plucked. These youngest and most tender leaves of the tea plant are considered as the purest product to offer. These tea leaves develop slowly during the winter and contain more nutrients, antioxidants, and caffeine.
Darjeeling Second Flush Tea
This is the second harvest season for the tea plant, which begins in early summer and lasts through the monsoon. Because the leaves grow faster, second flush tea contains fewer minerals, antioxidants, and caffeine than first flush tea. The colour of these leaves is darker, and the perfume is stronger.
Darjeeling Autumn Flush Tea
The leaves are picked in the Autumn season. It produces a bolder, richer flavor as well as a coppery liquor. This is appropriate for breakfast and afternoon tea because of its powerful liquor properties. These are appropriate without the usage of milk, just like Darjeeling first and second flush teas.
TEA BY REGION & CATEGORY
Darjeeling Green Tea
The same plant produces both green and black tea leaves. The only difference is that, Black Tea is fermented, whilst Green Tea is not. To avoid fermentation, the leaves are steam treated after plucking. Darjeeling green tea improves your immune system and helps you lose weight etc. It contains less caffeine.
Darjeeling Black Tea
The unique flavor of Darjeeling Black Tea is well known. Compare to other black teas, it is less oxidized. It has many good impacts on our bodies. But, it has a higher caffeine level compare to Green Tea and hence suggested not to consume late after the brewing is done. It has a delicious scent and golden or bronze color.
Assam Tea
Assam tea is grown in the state of Assam in northeastern India. By production, this region is the world’s largest tea-growing region. It produces a variety of teas like white tea, black tea, yellow tea, and green tea. It comes in a variety of grades. BOPSM, BP, and BPSM are premium and more expensive.
